• The Guardian have released a top 40 of their best songs of 2011, funnily enough if i did the same and we drew a Venn diagram of these 2 lists there would be no intersection...
• Paul McCartney will release a new album in 2012.
• If you prefer more obscure Merseybeat then a Beryl Marsden compilation (her first on CD) will be released next month on RPM.
• Blurt have a review round-up of some recent singles, all vinyl.
• In one Indonesian province punks are having their heads shaved and being given military drills to bring them into line, but the punk spirit will never die!
• AirVinyl is apparently an iPad app that can recreate and simulate the experience of vinyl...
